DESCRIPTION: APW - Elgin, 18S, 14K box-hinged recased Solidarity HC with gold cuvette, SW-LS, fancy WE-SSD with light purple coloring at center and silver paillons, lever escapement, 11J, concentric pattern NI damascene, s#2238720. Gross weight of assembled watch 92.8 dwt (144.3 g).
CONDITION: Mvt: GRO, crown has to be given a bit of downward pressure when winding or stem will slip, excellent mvt condition overall, some scattered MFS; dial with hl from between 12 and 1 to center, small chips or flakes at center, hl above seconds-register; excellent hands, hour and minute hands fancy gold style, seconds hand is blue; case shows no wear, rear lid with evidence of repair around hinge area and with looseness and side to side play at center joint of hinge, lower rear pendant of case with solder residue from some type of work, shallow dent at lower right of front and ding at upper front, some marks likely from hinge repair at lower portion of boxed area on lower rear lid, engraving detail crisp and very attractive; tight bow, crown shows virtually no wear; good glass crystal.
